The issue of Muslim women's veiling and chastity is considered one of the necessities of religion by Muslim jurists and scholars (Shiite and Sunni). Although the type and amount of covering varies according to the customs of different regions, they have agreed on the principle of the necessity of veiling. This is because they believe that the promotion of improper veiling and lack of veiling will bring individual, family and social consequences to Muslim countries. This research aims to highlight the common views of Imam Khomeini and Muhammad Ghazali, two scholars and thinkers from the Islamic world, regarding the consequences of the promotion of improper veiling and lack of veiling in contemporary Islamic societies, using a descriptive-analytical method and using library resources. The findings of the research indicate that both figures from the Islamic world have expressed opinions regarding the consequences of improper veiling and lack of veiling, which, despite minimal differences, have many commonalities and overlaps. As both figures mentioned, the individual and family consequences of this issue include: They point out the loss of women's modesty and chastity and the weakening of the family institution. They also introduce issues such as promoting corruption and deviation, opposing the hijab in the name of women's liberation, and warning and awareness of the West's colonial plans and goals as among the social consequences of not observing the hijab.
