Abstract

Aging population is a crisis that threatens Iran. Formulation of population policies by politicians is an undeniable necessity. The aim of this study was to develop a childbearing model based on the lived experiences of working mothers with many children with high life satisfaction. This research was conducted with the qualitative method of grounded theory and Strauss and Corbin model. The studied population was all the mothers of 3 children and older living in Tehran in 1402-1403. The sampling method was purposeful and snowball method. In this research, data saturation was used, which was achieved in the 20th person. The method of data analysis was done with open, central and selective coding paradigm. The dimensions of the extracted qualitative model include underlying causes (personal characteristics, beliefs, motivations and needs), intervening causes (child's value and social networks), strategies (educational, supportive, individual and couple). , consequences (intra-family, development of mother's personality, development of children's personality, support and physical complications) and barriers (natural events in the life cycle, career, communication, media, cultural-socio-economic). The results of the present study in presenting the childbearing model of mothers with many children with high life satisfaction can be a suitable model for use in the policy making in the field of childbearing under cultural-social theories.
