Causal and intervening conditions related to work-life balance in married working women (case study of Sanandaj city)

Abstract

Purpose: The research was conducted with the aim of identifying and interpreting the causal and intervening conditions related to the balance between work and life of married working women in Sanandaj city.
Method: Qualitative research method was conducted with thematic analysis strategy. The participants, including married working women of Sanandaj city, who were investigated by targeted sampling, 20 of them through theoretical saturation. Semi-structured and in-depth interviews were used in data collection with maximum diversity, the duration of each interview was between 45 minutes and one hour, and the data collection process also took one month, and data analysis was done according to the Brown and Clark method.
Findings: The findings showed that the causal conditions related to the balance between work and life in the form of 4 main themes (health, leisure time, appropriate communication skills, adherence to the family) and also the intervening conditions in 5 main categories (benefiting from social welfare, legality) , satisfaction of others, religious adherence, social interaction) were categorized.
Conclusion: now working women are in better conditions of social welfare and by being responsible and adhering to the regulations and using appropriate communication skills in social interactions and also by trying to gain the satisfaction of others, they make a satisfactory effort for the balance between work and life.
