Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a structural model of latent aggression based on personality traits and perception of fairness mediated by communication skills in women seeking divorce. The research method of this study is correlation of structural equations. The study population included all women seeking divorce in Masjed-e-Soleiman city justice in the period from April to July 2021 with 300 divorce applications, from which 230 women were selected by purposive sampling. The measurement tools in this study were Neo-McCray and Costa Personality Questionnaire (1985), Perry Fairness Perception Questionnaire (2004), Jarabak Communication Skills Questionnaire (2004) and Nelson and Carroll (2006) Latent Aggression Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (path analysis). The results of the analysis confirmed the fit of the hypothetical research model. Path analysis coefficients showed that personality traits and perception of fairness mediate communication skills affect latent aggression. Among personality traits: Neuroticism, extroversion, agreeability, conscientiousness and fairness have a direct and significant effect on communication skills. The direct effect of extraversion, openness to experience, agreeability, conscientiousness, perception of fairness with communication skills on latent aggression is significant. Also among the personality traits; Neuroticism, extraversion, agreement, conscientiousness and perception of fairness mediate communication skills have an indirect effect on latent aggression. Therefore, it can be said that there is a relationship between personality traits and perceptions of fairness with latent aggression, and this relationship can be adjusted by the role of communicative skills.
