Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group therapy in the form of exchange analysis on increasing emotional expression, mutual respect, solving marital conflict and marital satisfaction of Ahvaz couples. The sample consisted of 30 people who were selected by available sampling method. 15 subjects in the experimental group and 15 in the control group were randomly assigned. The experimental design was a pre-test-posttest with control group and follow-up period. The instrument of the questionnaire included Enrique's Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (Alson, 1989), Emmy's Qentimation Questionnaire (EFQ), Amini Ghomi, 2001). To run, at first, pre-test was taken from both groups. The experimental group was then placed on a face test group for eight 90-minute sessions, and then, both groups were subjected to post-test. And one month later, the follow-up process was completed. Data analysis was performed by using Multivariate Covariance Analysis (MANCOVA) and One Way Covariance Analysis (Ankawa). The results showed that the efficacy of group therapy in the form of exchange analysis was effective in increasing the expression of feelings, mutual respect, solving marital conflict and marital satisfaction in Ahvaz, and this result was stable at the follow up stage.
