Abstract
The present study aimed to determine the multiple relationships between wisdom, emotional experience towards the spouse (positive emotion and negative emotion), the role of the wife's mother (servant wife's mother, intrusive wife's mother, knowledgeable wife's mother, indifferent wife's mother, and annoying wife's mother), and triangulation with marital adaptability. The study was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population included all married couples in Isfahan, from whom 380 people were selected through available sampling. The research tools were: Wisdom Questionnaire (2000), Emotional Experience towards Spouse Questionnaire (2023), Role of the Wife's Mother (2019), Triangulation Questionnaire (2017), and Marital Adaptability (2018). The collected data were analyzed at two levels: descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential (Pearson correlation and stepwise regression). Data analysis was performed using SPSS24 software. The findings showed that among the correlated variables, three variables: triangulation, knowledgeable mother-in-law, and interfering mother-in-law have the power to predict internal tendency towards marital adaptability, and emotional experience towards spouse, triangulation, interfering mother-in-law, and interference have the power to predict confirmation-seeking marital adaptability. According to these results, it can be said that marital adaptability can be improved by improving family psychological structures.
