Abstract

The general purpose of the current research was to investigate the solutions to deal with the destructive effects of social networks and new media in the family sphere in North Khorasan province in 1401. The research method in terms of the nature and method of applied and descriptive research was a survey type that was done with a combined approach. The statistical population of the research consisted of two parts, the first part is all the families of North Khorasan province in 1401 who use virtual space and virtual social networks, which based on sampling from the unlimited population, 485 people were selected as available. became In the qualitative section, 19 people were selected in a targeted manner. The data collection tools were the study of library sources, semi-structured interviews and researcher-made questionnaires. The validity of the instrument was form and content and construct validity, which was approved by academic staff members and key experts and specialists. The validity of the questionnaires was estimated through the Cronbach's coefficient of 0.96. The qualitative part was analyzed by thematic analysis method. To analyze the quantitative data, descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, percentage and mean) and inferential statistics were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Kruskal test, Friedman test, exploratory analysis with 22 spss software. The results showed that the largest number of users of virtual networks in North Khorasan province are between the ages of 19 and 30, who use all three popular social services, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram on an average daily basis, men more than women and single people more than married people. And in terms of the role in the family, sons and based on the occupation of the employees, after the post-graduate education, then the master's degree and then the bachelor's degree, the most users based on the income below 2 million and then above 10 million and based on the city in Esfrain and then Bojnord and After Shirvan and the lowest one is related to Farouj, users have membership in 4 virtual applications on average and the average duration of using virtual networks is 3 hours and people check virtual networks at least 3 times during the day. Based on the type of content, educational and skill content is the first priority. Also, in terms of identifying the harms and changes in the use of social networks among family members in North Khorasan province, the harm is related to health with 90%, and inappropriate communication and changes in lifestyle are in the next ranks.
